Country Stars

Hey there, country music fans! The excitement is building as we countdown to one of the most anticipated events of the year – Col Finley’s “Country Stars” competition. With less than a week to go, the buzz is palpable, and the stakes have never been higher.

The Country Stars team recently announced the semi-finalists, and let us tell you, the talent pool is incredibly impressive. This being the first year of the competition, the number of nominations was overwhelming, making the selection process quite the challenge. But now, we’re down to the best of the best, all vying for the chance to win one of Queensland’s largest and most comprehensive prize pools ever offered.

Mark your calendars, because this is an event you won’t want to miss. The semi-finals will take place on Friday, May 31st, starting at 1 pm, with both the Junior (ages 12-17) and Senior (18 and over) categories showcasing their talents. The excitement continues on Saturday, June 1st, from 2 pm with the grand final, where the winners will be crowned.

But that’s not all! “Country Stars” isn’t just about the competition; it’s a full-blown celebration of country music. Alongside our talented contestants, the event will feature guest performances from country music legend and event Founder/Host Col Finley, as well as Nellie Finley, Shanleigh Rose, Nyssa Ray, and the up-and-coming star Billy Gudgeon.

And here’s the best part – our very own Wattmore will be gracing the stage with an electrifying performance! As we gear up for the show, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of such an incredible lineup. It’s an honor to share the stage with such esteemed artists and to perform for all of you at the 2024 Maleny Show.
